CUỘC THI HÙNG BIỆN TIẾNG ANH VỚI CHỦ ĐỀ "QUÊ HƯƠNG TÔI" – MỘT SÂN CHƠI BỔ ÍCH CHO HỌC SINH TRƯỜNG THCS ĐAN PHƯỢNG

              On the afternoon of April 10, 2025, Dan Phuong Secondary School successfully held an English speaking contest for all students as part of the second semester activities of the 2024–2025 school year. With the heartfelt theme "My Hometown," the contest was not only an opportunity for students to showcase their English skills but also a chance to express their love and pride for their beloved Dan Phuong.

             The competition featured outstanding students from grades 6 to 9. This year’s event attracted ten excellent contestants representing different grade levels. Each student delivered an impressive English presentation, with 3 to 5 minutes to speak on topics such as the natural beauty of their hometown, its people, cultural traditions, local cuisine, or the transformations the area has undergone over the years.

            The atmosphere was vibrant and exciting. The students demonstrated confidence, accurate pronunciation, lively presentation styles, and creative, emotional content. Notably, many speeches left a strong impression on the judges by incorporating visual aids, personal storytelling, or famous quotes to highlight their deep affection for their hometown.

            The judging panel included English teachers and special guest Mr. Trinh Manh Thang, Vice Principal of the school, along with teachers from the Social Science Department. They worked fairly and diligently to select the most outstanding participants.

            At the end of the contest, the organizers awarded First, Second, Third, and Encouragement prizes to the most impressive contestants. Tran Bao Ngoc from class 6A2 won First Prize with a profound and touching speech about the transformation of Hanoi from the perspective of a child living far from home. Nguyen Thi Van from class 9A2 and Tran Hoai Thu from class 8A2 shared the Second Prize, while Nguyen Thi Tra My (8A1), Tran Bao Duy (7A2), and Pham Hai Duong (7A1) received Third Prize.

           The English speaking contest themed "My Hometown" not only helped students enhance their language skills but also sparked a sense of pride and responsibility in preserving and promoting the traditional values of their hometown. This was truly a meaningful, practical, and enriching playground for both teachers and students of Dan Phuong Secondary School.
